Poetry is a bird
perched lightly on the back
of all that is fickle
and dangerous in this world...
Two black-and-white wagtails stand on large sunlit rocks along a stony shoreline. The nearer bird balances on one leg taking a step while looking upward, its long tail trailing behind, while a second wagtail perches slightly higher on a rock in the background.
