Idk why this run sucked so badly π Went super slow and tried to relax my upper body because I keep ending up with headaches after my runs. My pace was terrible. On to the next!

Quick 3-mile tempo run, staying at a pace that was a bit challenging. My main issue was the cold air and dealing with my nose running the whole time stuffy π€§
Omg just realized theyβre releasing *four* movies β one for each Beatle.
πββοΈ we donβt need any more music biopics. Enough, Hollywood.
Just finished an interval workout on the treadmill: 7-minute hard intervals alternated with 2.5-minute recovery periods, x 3. Went for a 10-minute pace during the hard intervals and slipped to 10:30-11 during the last couple minutes. Feeling pretty wrecked as I havenβt been consistent, but onward!
This is 10th-grader Arnoldo Bazan.
A citizen.
Immigration agents grabbed him and put him in a chokehold.
"We're from the United States bro!' he screamed.
Agents took and sold his phone
And when he finally got home hours later, his shirt was ripped, he neck had angry, red welts, and he sobbed.
Getting back into long runs to prep for another half marathon in April π slow and steady πββοΈ
5 miles done this year β πββοΈ ran the hangover 5 miler in Bristol RI this morning, bringing in the new year with painful icy winds that turned into beautiful blue skies. The wind and snowy grounds made my pace less than impressive, but I nailed the negative splits π
Holding an Armenian ayran yogurt drink bottle in my hand.
Reminder to self that itβs always a good idea to get one of these ayran drinks along with a falafel wrap. So delicious I could use a vat of it in my fridge.
This should be his last semester teaching. He should wrap up his class(es) because otherwise that would create a lot of work for somebody else, but itβs shameful to have a known predator on campus in a position of power.
4 easy miles today πββοΈ itβs so windy today! Need to start thinking about cold weather running gear, particularly gloves that will keep my hands warm but also wick sweatβ¦weirdly two of my fingers stick together while running and they sweat, and itβs mad annoying lol.
Larry Summers needs to resign or be pushed out of Harvard. This is absolutely unacceptable.
Woman making a peace sign in the mirror wearing clothes to run in including a headlamp across her forehead
Tested out my new headlamp on my quick ~3 mile run tonight. Felt like an angler fish. Very nice to have an illuminated path ahead of me instead of feeling my eyes strain.
Oh yea, and itβs Caturday. So this is relevant indeed.

Just rediscovered this in my screenshots. The palette feels autumnal to me, or possibly Iβm projecting as itβs blustery and the first of November. Either way I love the mood.

A large, brilliantly red tree next to a running path at dusk
6 miles done β ordered a headlamp to wear on my night runs as it gets dark earlier. Also itβs time for a fresh pair of shoesβ¦who said running was a cheap sport??
Nice relaxed run after work today. This route had some serious hills π
Speed intervals in the rain today π§οΈ Grateful for wool socks in times like these.
Locked in listening to Taylorβs new album and itβs just unavoidable at this point that she is an institution and a billionaire, not an artist.

Super pleasant hour long run this evening π it really smells autumnal outside. Iβm curious to see if running through the colder months cures my seasonal depression π¬

A view from a hilltop looking out at the start of the sunset at Fort Getty in Jamestown, RI. The skyline is brimming with orange.

Half marathon complete! I have lots of thoughts and am eager to write something longer, but to suffice it to say, Iβm grateful my body carried me through this process without injury. Running long distance has changed my brain for the better and I canβt wait to take blissful runs in the cool weather.
Thank you!
Last run before the half tomorrow β keeping the easy runs easy and the hard runs hard. Canβt believe the starting line is nearly here!
Longest run of my training block β The cooler weather made this so much more enjoyable. I took four very brief walking breaks every 30mins, just long enough to have my gels and water. The half is almost here!!
Long run this week sucked!! Didnβt get to do the path I planned on so I improvised. Ended up with a hilly route with no shoulder on the road so I was dodging cars most of the time. Also felt very fatigued. But itβs done β
Speed and tempo intervals today with one-minute walking recovery breaks. Iβve gotten speedier π₯Ή Loving track workouts because they allow me to hyper focus on form, plus I donβt have to think about obstacles or which direction to go.

Second 10-miler run π Much better pace than last time, and felt much better too. I think this is because I slept well last night for once. Onward!
