changed it back to 't-shirt'.
changed it back to 't-shirt'.
The fic-writing experience: *write one sentence*; [watch three hours of slowed-down clips & behind the scenes extras, read 9 interviews, research history of entire country, triangulate specfic locations on google street view] *change 't-shirt' to 'short-sleeved shirt'*
you've heard of fix-it fic, well I'm writing 'make it worse' fic.
fandom equivalent of a cat whose owners have provided it with a brand new bed, soft and plush, specifically designed for optimal cat comfort, but turns it down in favour of a broken cardboard box.
just reread one of my own fics and then realised that if it were a person, it would now be legally allowed to fly a glider, drink a glass of beer, wine or cider with a meal, open a cash ISA, and work full-time (but only in Wales).
Well exactly! I'm just like, guys we had all these conversations 20 years ago, it's not my fault you weren't listening.
I turned on Radio 4 and it was happening on there - I just wanted something to listen to while I was doing the washing up!
I saw that, or something similar, and thought I'd accidentally slid into a parallel universe.
this is true, especially if they don't live here - and honestly they should be allowed to live in that very specific bubble of innocence as long as they can. They're like uncontacted tribes in the Amazon.
I sometimes still get comments for a Lewis fic I wrote before that Fox man became what he is today - and why you would in this day and age I don't know.
Just got my first 'pay me to illustrate your fic' spam comment on AO3. Woo, hit the big time, baby!
So baffling. If this show was a high street shop it would be a front for money laundering.
I replied with something sarcastic because I wasn't really in the mood for it, and they offered what I think was supposed to be some kind of apology? I don't think they were expecting a reply, probably thought I was long-dead.
honestly, I wouldn't mind if it wasn't the *only* thing they said!
oh! I saw this tag when I was randomly skimming through Ao3 - but it was in Japanese so I'm none the wiser.
Just finished this book, then had to comb through the internet trying to remember where I saw the rec. Thank you, loved it! Onwards to book 2...
for some reason we were doing the original Du Maurier story in English class and I suppose it was a sort of 'compare and contrast' thing. Around the same time they also traumatised us with Day of the Triffids (fear of plants) and horrifically bleak nuclear war film Threads (scarred for life).
they showed us The Birds in school, and for about a year I flinched every time a crow flew over.
yeahhhh
well at least I didn't waste a few valuable minutes of my life locking everything, heh
yeah all my fic has been scraped, including archive-locked.
quite genuinely thought this was a picture of some kind of recycling bin.
Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan. It is perhaps not for everyone...
seriously, wtf!
here is some fandom commentary from me: I think the j&p book might have achieved something truly wonderful - united the tumblr fandom and the dad-nerds fandom at last in pure hatred.
That always happens on Easter Sunday, it has the same rules as Christmas Day.
hmmmmm ๐
I'm so sorry to hear that. <3
Thanks Avi, appreciate it. I think I'm better off not dwelling on it right now though. x
