- and you have a convicted felon (and a stupid one at that) as president.
Is that the American dream?

Netanyahu’s objective is also short term given his age. Israel needs security but the only long term solution involves equity for Palestinians, and this war will just regenerate opposition some years in the future.

How does he define victory?
Is it: rockets raining down on every country in the Middle East, ships attacked, US military personnel killed”? If that’s it - then yes trump has nailed it.
Trump doesn’t do plans.
He does “wake up in the morning and decide to do the first crazy thing that comes into his head - and screw the consequences - unless it’s going to cost him personally”. Any impact financial or life he just doesn’t care about.
Warmonger trump and warmonger Netanyahu are both in their element. Both acting to stay out of jail; both without a domestic mandate. “Playing” with war. No strategy, no concern for human life.

We already had a nuclear deal in place negotiated by Barack Obama. After ripping up that deal Donald Trump could not accomplish what Obama could and negotiate a nee one. Instead he’s launched an illegal war without the authorization of Congress. Americans don’t want this, Congress must act.
