In short, this country was founded for and remains the sole province of these men (straight, white, able-bodied, Protestant, natural born citizen) and their women and children.
A lot of Catholics have joined the party as well.
It implies there is an awful lot of reason for solidarity specifically in secularism among secular Americans.

Atheists out there - you are all loved. The reality you share with all other atheists is the stronger connection that can exist between humans. Go get 'em.
It's cold, rainy, and miserable tonight in DC, and for the price of one wasted fighter jet, the homeless population of DC could be housed.
They weren't in the most literal sense, but they sure are a pain, and got far more press than they deserved.
Plenty of Catholics are involved as well. It's a smorgasbord of Christians.

A Christian who thinks *any* non-Christian isn't going to hell is rare.
So you agree they were non-secular.
A secular government doesn't imprison scientists in favor of Lysenkoism. Just because they didn't go to church doesn't mean they weren't religious.
It is not. Believing in things without evidence, to the point of committing atrocities, excludes one from being non-religious.
That's not it. They attacked science and believed in utopia on faith, without evidence. They were not secular.
Soviet communism was a religion. They were as much a theocracy as there ever has been.
I didn't say any antisocial ideologies lol, why would you suggest that? But there is definitely nothing secular that is anywhere remotely as impactful or dangerous as the idea of eternity.
And that will always be a risk, whereas it never is for people who are not religious (who also don't believe any of their constituents are going to hell, which is a bonus).
In certain moments, hopefully, but the world is messy, and responsibilities will always conflict. When that happens, it is hard to see eternal life taking a back seat to secular considerations.
