As I said, Russ: I use IngramSpark and I don't have to pay anything. They add my books to their catalogue, and they then find themselves on Amazon. Every month I get the statements, and every quarter the royalty payments. (Not much: I'm as fringe as can be. But it works!)
I use IngramSpark, Russ: it doesn't cost me anything! The price per unit is £4-£5 per book, usually. You set the RRP and the discount booksellers get. So if I set RRP = £10 and discount is 35%, I get £6.50 minus the printing cost for every book sold.
You might consider publishing with IngramSpark, too, Russ. That will get physical copies into other locations. (Amazon should be smart enough to realise that they already have the same title under a different ISBN, and so wouldn't stock the alternative.)

Yes, I can't picture any Brits pronouncing “Los Angeles” the way that Americans do, even though we must've heard it plenty of times. The Americans, on the other hand, aren't so likely to have heard us speaking about Edinburgh or Glasgow.
It was originally “coronell”, imported from French. The English and French spellings were later modified to match Italian “colonella” but the original pronunciation persisted rather adapt to the spelling change.
The translator did use “ŝutejo” but our proofer preferred “ŝutloko”. There's not much, if anything, in it, and I tend to go with his preferences.
Our contribution to #Zamenhof Day: we've just launched "Stig of the Dump" (Stig de la ŝutloko) in #Esperanto. I've got my copy and it's beautiful!

Kredeble ne ekzistas rekta traduko, ĉar en la angla temas pri transpreno de alisignifa vortaro: orpecetoj. «(kokinaĵ-) pecetoj», verŝajne, do.

Alastair, why do you and Rory refer to that man by his childhood nickname? You correctly called out people for doing it with Johnson, who, for his myriad faults, didn't come close to, say, starving civilians as collective punishment.
I find it astounding that FF wrote it as a stop-gap measure in only 35 days, and that the only change he made to what came out the typewriter was to add “The Day of” to the title he'd typed on the day he started his work. “Not a single word has been changed since.” What a phenomenon!
Have the 1990s become “the Olden Days”? They were the 1950s when I was a lad. I'd ask one of my niblings but the thought of confirmation is making me shudder!

You're absolutely correct, of course, but my eyes bulged reading that, and acknowledging that the meaning of that phrase has shifted from “the very distant past waaay before I was born” to “when I was at university”!

Awful service from #RoyalMail. A package arrived but had been opened and one of the two goods inside removed. I reported it, with photos and details. Two months later they've closed the investigation: it consisted of checking the tracking number and confirming that the package had been delivered.
