I’m not gonna delete this because it’s okay for me to be personal about my art here too. There are no rules to making something. It’s okay to show vulnerability sometimes. I can do this, ghost friends is a great art piece, let’s keep on going on
Anyways as always when I stray, I will prioritize my joy and spreading joy. Be kind. Look at more cool art and make things that make me happy. Keep the artist in me happy.
Not saying btw that popular art is a product, but I do notice artists with a large following. Have luck/connections, time or LOTS AND LOTS of stuff. I don’t think art should have to be pumped out like a machine to be deserved to be seen.
I DO care about sharing my art. I’m proud of it and that’s why I share it. I like when others interact, it is part of the fun for me!
But selling art is for me but social media wants profit. That is what is prioritized/pushed. You have to be lucky to be seen, or feed the numbers
Tbh Social media burns me out.
I love my project, take breaks and the process of making it is so accessible/fun. I am proud of every single drawing simply because I love making it. People tell me to find joy in the process, I have that joy but posting is the issue.
