Round!
Tackling the game asset workflow course from Creative Shrimp. I need to brush up on my asset optimisation techniques and retopo, so looking forward to those chapters. #blender #3d
I love subdiv modelling. It's so flexible and satisfying.

Being inspected by the local wildlife.
Workbench view for Cable Dogs.
Thank you !!
This scene took far longer than I would've liked. I had a lot of issues with art block when designing the robots and then the render process gave me a lot of headaches, so I am very glad to finally see this done. #blender #blender3d #art #3dart #substancepainter #3dmodel #3dmodeling #dogs #robots
On to the final render stage of the Cable Dogs scene, but having a hell of a time managing noise. My love of light rays and volumes bites me in the ass yet again.
Blender, I love you. I also donβt like you.
The Cable Dog, a robot from my upcoming #blender #3d scene.
(cont 2) Worst was a sign that got left up in the middle of a sidewalk, forcing people with baby strollers and wheelchairs to merge go onto the active road to get around it. I dismounted my bike and helped a young mother pick up and move the sign.
(cont) If the placement of these signs is dangerous enough, I have actually picked them up and thrown them aside before and I encourage others to do the same, especially if there is actually no active construction nearby (they often leave these signs up for hours/days after).
This happens so much. They treat bicycle infrastructure as a dumping ground for things that might make drivers upset. Lost track of the amount of times a sign has blocked a bike path/lane and my only option is to walk it on the sidewalk or merge into 60kph traffic and risk my life.
Thank you π
Robo dog finally coming along now. Been having some bad art block on this thing, but finally getting there.
No-Fear-One-Fear comic strip. The person in the second panel wears a shirt showing the "reflection_check_horizontal" MatCap studio light in Blender.
It reveals all my sloppiness #blender
That was such a great game. Lookin' good!
round!
Robots on hold for now while I work on the larger scene a bit. Here is a sneak peek π
They're very handy. Can also use them as another monitor if you need extra display space even if you're not actively drawing on it at the time.
First time making my own! A very useful technique and tool to have in my toolbox once I get the hang of them.
Creating some basic trim sheets for brickwork patterns! #blender
Welcome to Blender!
Robot time again. #blender
Indeed. Blender does a lot of things very well and has improved so much over the years but there are still some things it blows chunks at. Texturing and material baking being some examples. Substance Painter is orders of magnitude better for making and baking textures.
That's a good metal stick.
made quake style liquid displacement in blender shader nodes! it's a very simple motion, but with the right texture looks surprisingly good

So true.
That's more walrus per walrus.
