Needed a social media cleanse for a while but I might be back. 2025 was a dope year for movies and video games, and I have some thoughts I need to get out there.

Gotta agree with this review. Supervive has a chance to be a strong contender in the space but I feel like it's also an avenue for future MOBA type games like Deadlock. Taking that framework and testing it in different gameplay styles.
Sifu is a very special experience. Getting a complete run of every stage and beating the final boss in one smooth run is one of the most satisfying experiences I've had in video games.
It's the only good one of the sequel trilogy. 7 was a nice film that wanted to show star wars was in good hands and it succeeded at that. 9 is the most disappointed I've ever been in the theater.
That old beater that was your first car is your only means of survival and once you start upgrading and customizing it you get a little attached to it. The game is a journey and one of my favorites of the year. Feels like it was made specifically for me.
Pacific Drive is one of the most interesting indie games I've played in a while. It's like STALKER but instead of being a survivor in Chernobyl you are a smuggler in a worn out station wagon, stuck in an alien exclusion zone in Washington. Dripping with character and style.
More films should copy the wipe transitions like star wars did.
We are to the point where even trying to spoof multiverse stuff is getting lame. Too much too fast.

If I can drill it down to video games, movies and pictures of cats I'll be happy.
That may be too harsh of a term. General audience might be a better way to describe it. People who don't seem to have hobbies or interests outside of generic pop culture. When enough of the general audience jumps onto a social media platform it gets really boring for niche nerds.
It's cat pic time
Threads got taken over by normies and mastodon was completely inhabited by older IT professionals. Let's see if Bluesky can strike that right balance. I do like block lists though.
Arrival. A perfect film.
