Same vibes as like... interviewing someone for a programmer job but they cheated on the take-home assignment and can't actually explain why it works the way it does.
A real dev will have a story for any meaningful project, about how they tried different things and discovered a cool trick to make it faster or whatever. AI "devs" just talk about the end result like they're in a Price Is Right showcase. All the understanding is gone, and it shows.
I saw an author on here explain that real writers will spend hours explaining their characters and why they did things, while AI "authors" can't tell you anything meaningful, because they didn't write it. I've noticed similar for coders. It creates an uncanny effect in how they describe their work.
