Since my feeder takes pictures anytime something comes near, I can say that I never got a single squirrel even approaching the spicy feed. So I doubt that is happening, at least not for my setup

Echoing this - I have one of those feeders that takes pictures, and I used to have a lot of issues with squirrels hogging all of the food (and pics). I switched to spicy birdseed and then no more squirrels. You can add flakes or just buy spicy seed outright

I don’t know if you can get one with the mirror that reflects the outside but that was a big help - when you open your eyes occasionally you aren’t just see plastic 2 inches from your face. It’s amazing how our brains can be tricked

I’ve done a lot of head MRIs (including with contrast dye). Take the pill if you need it! Also, I tend to keep my eyes closed as much as possible, that helps a lot. There are some that have a mirror so you can still see the outside and that helps immensely too. Good luck!
