Part 2 - You Tube is an incredibly valuable resource used by teachers extensively. My neurodiverse kiddo who struggled with reading initially learnt so much (often self led) here. I pay to minimise advertising and we monitor his usage. Not all kids learn the same way - donβt take it away!!

Staggering or something. 16 is a difficult age for a lot of kids and parents with experimenting and natural rebellion being normal as almost adults stretch their wings. Influencing them as a parent at this time is near impossible. see part 2

Yes - my neurospicy kiddo loves You Tube - and learns so much there, he absorbs the science and fact content. Kids need to be digital natives a blanket ban is not setting them up to learn to navigate the world as it is. It is delaying the building of a life skill. Tackle the problem!
