Did my teaching practice term at Colchester Royal Grammar School in 1973. An alleged IRA bomb alert was a highlight. I still suspect one of the pupils had phoned it in. We evacuated the building and a large group of them shouted β€œBang!” at the time the bomb was supposed to explode.
