I’m definitely not the most liberal person around but I was getting pissed reading that twitter thread for Lud’s gofundme. Usually the cesspool of social media does not bother me like that. Anyone with a brain can see whatever ICE does under any pretense is deplorable and needs full resistance.

So for me personally, I don’t need constant new content or patches to keep my interest because simply the act of training and improving was more than enough to drive play time. And so I will always find it difficult to relate to those that are like that.

Ultimately your enjoyment in fighting games comes down to what you’re trying to get out of it. For me I was/am trying to be the best competitor I could and put in a lot of hours to that end. It also just happened to be a fun hobby. But for most I think it’s the inverse.

You know putting it in this perspective maybe the Canon brothers totally gamed Riot with this dev cycle to give the FGC long-termish dev jobs perhaps hoping it would work out in the end. Unfortunately it did not.

I held my tongue for a while but as an extreme (and oft justified) hater of Riot Games, them kicking the 2XKO team to the curb because it didn't make SF6 money instantly was tragically incredibly predictable.

As much as I meme on here about not having friends (which is not exactly untrue). I do acknowledge the true friends I do have even if I don’t have easy access to them like I would want. Even if they wrong me they sincerely apologize and we move on. That’s all I can ask for.
