Retired to TN just under 3 years ago. Lived in Chicago area my whole life. Never lost a package, never had a package delivered more than a day late without notification from seller. In the last 2 years, 2 packages lost, half a dozen delivered 2-5 days later. Btw, all PO.
Lots of questions here. Why did it sit in Memphis for almost 4 days? Why didn’t my local PO actually deliver it on the 17th? Why was it delivered 2 days later? Granted, I live in a small area, but we’re not the only family here & the area has been built up for almost 20 yrs. 2/
The Post Office lied here in TN. Ordered coffee 2/8. Got confirmation, arrival date 2/14. Tracked it. Got to Memphis 2/12. Left Memphis 2/16. Arrived Nashville 2/17, left 2/17. Arrived in town early 2/17. Notice of delivery 2/17. Nope tracking app said it was there, PO delivered 2/19.
Not surprised. After all, women & girls are nothing but sluts who seduced these innocent boys. IMO, we should NEVER have a “man” in charge of anything unless they can prove they’re responsible, level headed, emotionally/mentally stable, & can be vouched for by a min of 4 women, no relatives.
If it were a calendar, with the alt text, I’d get it for my husband who acts like a 4 yr old every time we pass some cows.
I was in charge of popcorn sales for my son’s Boy Scout troop. Having been a Girl Scout, I know how bad cookie sales are. Popcorn sales are a close second.

I feel you. Two separate occasions, BP literally through the roof. Both doctors, “How bad is your headache?” “What headache? I’m fine.” Neither ever believed me. Last year woke up twice with a severe headache. Not due to high BP, but low, 94/58.

Should have known back in April 2016 that the world was wrong. Cubs had the best season ever. They won their first World Series in 108 yrs. Die hard Cubs fan here, love they won, but I would give all that up if it meant that none of this would have happened.
Looks like these boys have never had to deal with ice. Sidewalk looked slick to start with. When not sure, walk in the snow or check the sidewalk carefully. Never go full speed in winter. Spent 60+ yrs doing that. Slipped once, rain on top of ice.
ADHD? Don’t know. Organized messy? Definitely. Drives hubby crazy (married almost 45 yrs), but he keeps insisting on putting things away that he has no business touching. Worst part? He’ll put something away in the wrong place & when I ask where it is, he doesn’t remember because it’s not important.
Thank you for the great stories. I can picture the people you’re describing & hear their voices. Yes, I watch way too many Australian & New Zealand shows/movies, so I can almost hear the voices with the right accent. I want to visit, but I doubt Americans are welcome in most sane parts of the world.
And Hitler knew how to properly wear shorts, do lederhosen. Also, that’s leisure wear, not worn when you need to be dressed up, unless you’re supposed to be in local ethnic dress.

Almost 34 yrs ago, we had to find a day care for our son. Newborn, born early, so unprepared. Daycare A, front doors wide open, no adult in front, tots sleeping near door. Daycare B, unlocked front door into locked door reception area & manager in office by door. Went with Daycare B.

Actually does help. Honey is antibacterial. Not sure purpose of lemon, but I like the lemon & honey combo in a good herbal tea. A black tea will do in a pinch. (Do like green tea, but prefer that one unsweetened)

Same complaints in the areas around Chicago with not so big name universities. Son went to UIC, shared a flat with 4 other people. Think the rent boiled down to $250-300/month/kid. Biggest problem is landlords creating 5 “bedrooms” in what was a 2-3 bedroom flat.
