Inside Outrance

The body of a guitar pictured from above, the wood is partially unfinished. There are six distinct stripes of abstract patterns with a blue palette, near where the neck would be attached is a pattern of teal circles and mauve triangles, a dark blue line separates the adjacent pattern, which has an almost seafoam colored base with dark blue squares outlined in yellow forming an almost checker board pattern, next is a stripe of unfinished wood where the fret board would be attached Next are two patterns both containing triangles and separated by a dark blue stripe. The triangles of the first one face alternate directions and have alternating blue and yellow outlines on a bright blue background with dark blue tentacle-like shapes flowing between them. The second pattern is repeated at the bottom of the guitar as well and consists of bright blue triangles with dark blue outlines and a lighter blue circle inside of them all on a purple background. The triangles all point in the same direction on each stripe, but the direction is switched. In between those triangles is a distinct pattern with stripes of unfinished wood on each side, one narrow, one broad. This pattern consists of blue blobs.

I haven't shared this here yet. This commission from a couple of years ago was for an "into the blue' theme on the guitar.

The unfinished wood might be painted robin egg blue when it's done, but my part is over. I'd love to do this or something similar again

There are some parts that are acrylic paint marker, but the vast majority is ink and marker on panel canvas, thank you for the follow!

She definitely did some pattern work with shapes and colors too, I only say that I did "most" because it reached a point where she was just doing cooler detail work every time we swapped so I could play around with the bigger pattern

It was a pretty close collaboration while hanging out, so there was a ton of swapping back and forth. I did the ballpoint figure drawing near the top as well as most of the color, shape, and geometric pattern stuff which she turned into vague melting faces, monsters, and organic imagery w/ black ink

wow, thank you. I love both of their work and wish I was that good. Here's a collaborative piece that I did w/ a very talented artist (Vegetable Dad) a few years ago that is kind of Boschian due to her skills/style. I'm really hoping to do more collabs like this w/other artists in the near future
