Sorry. Last one. I was just soooo floored when I started reading your election piece. Psychology is something I have expertise in AND ESPECIALLY that one fact that ST Goal Achievement is fundamental. Really learned a lot & won’t mess that up again. Cheers 🍻
A Well known psychological fact is: Humans are built for ST goal fulfillment. I could see a lot of ST issues were bubbling at the time but telling MAGA “U liars don’t care about inflation but WE could actually help U!” While true, it ignores the simplest most useful-ve ST position u explained.
Almost forgot, the diffs between our takes was THE WAY to make it viable. I spent yrs telling Econos not to insult layecon MAGA. I stated ppl have real probs Econ metrics don’t reveal ie depression/anxiety rts doubled. It’s true, we could’ve chgd US 4all (even MAGA). Ur pts were PERFECT for ST pts!
The inflation was short term cumulative as ppl complained. It had to be to have these early dynamics
U underestimate ur own election piece. It’s bc u included the 1 thing we all forgot. My take (2nd best) was shocks were brutal, tlns$ were justified but wasteful. Sorry, I go back n forth re Cleveland & SF Fed horrors. But SF Fed did a few classics of late. SOFIE is not even OK for what it DOES HELP. Why should it be? Get a room of Mfg Mgmt together; Sound like a strong CPI indicator? EXPECTations are useful. We know. SOFIE sux all adaptive living Econ out.
