By summer they should be in service & improve on 30% fleet availability of 1975/99 era trains.

Le drame, c'est que depuis les années 50, le pétrole est devenu trop bon marché par rapport à l'électricité pourtant beaucoup plus propre. C'est pour cela que des mauvais choix ("pétroliser" au lieu d'électrifier) ont été faits. Et ça continue !

Le mignon petit tram "ki-bo" passe un aiguillage couvert à Fukui. Ce dispositif est assez courant au Japon dans les zones qui ont beaucoup de neige en hiver, comme à Hokkaido ou ici sur la côte de la mer du Japon.

Norwegian high speed tilting train type BM73 with max speed 210 km/h photographed when I visited Oslo some years ago.
It's sort of related to the Swedish X2 and the body shells are made by the same manufacturer. One difference is that its pantograph is tilt stabilised, so all units can tilt.

The KC Streetcar line keeps growing! Delighted to see the line turn east to the new riverfront stop near CPKC Stadium. Testing is underway now until opening in the early spring.

Et aussi, dans bcp de cas, les chemins de fer touristiques naissent de la déliquescence du réseau ferroviaire prétendu "secondaire" et apparaissent "au milieu de nulle part" (morceaux de lignes réhabilités en déconnexion du reste du réseau).
