You know, we have for nearly 50 years taken it for granted that it is indeed fun to stay at the YMCA, and yet this popular assertion is back only by a single, non-rigorous, musical anecdote, I propose it is time for a study with a control group, which stays at a Holiday Inn Express

I couldn't have said it better myself. Whenever I hear an attorney saying that AI wrote a brief as well as they could, I don't come away impressed with AI. I come away thinking the attorney can't write at a professional level.

Do not debate white people about your humanity. It will be a waste of your time and they are not going to change their minds.

I'm sorry. Are you really comparing Charlie Kirk to Malcolm X? Is this supposed to be an article that a magazine publishes when it expects to be taken seriously?

President Trump has revoked a Biden executive order that had directed NIST to help companies identify and correct for flaws in AI models, including biases. It is unknown what, if anything, will replace the framework that order had put in place.

Kids Turn to a Mental-Health Chatbot to Share Their Anxieties Part counselor and part friend, Troodi talks with children about their worries and fears. β€œSometimes I forget she’s not a real person,” says one teen.

Last week, I spoke to therapists in training about the appropriate use of AI.

Not a moment too soon. We now have "Troodi," a mental-health app designed for children and teens that they can use on their phones.

I hope this company has a robust AI governance plan.

Next week is Thanksgiving, which means it's time for your friendly neighborhood cyber attorney to to remind you that cyber criminals often time their attacks over major holidays, while the key players are out of town. Now is the time to review your incident response plan.

From AI to Hardware Costs: Enterprise Tech Leaders Prepare for Trump 2.0 The president-elect’s focus on tariffs and less regulation could impact areas including hardware costs to AI deployments and set off an M&A frenzy, CIOs say.

Trump said he would undo Biden's AI Executive Order. How far he'll go remains to be seen, as does whether he would replace Biden's order with something else.

But CMMC 2.0 isn't going anywhere, and people will continue to look to NIST's proclamations for guidance.

According to this @washingtonpost.com article, police in Austin and San Francisco skirt laws banning their use of facial recognition technology. Given how rarely my phone recognizes my face, the use of this technology poses obvious concerns.

A character in an early-90s comic, "Why I Hate Saturn," posited that anyone who was both hot and smart was crazy. He said that hot people could get 90% of what they want in life just by being hot, so why would they develop their intellect unless they were crazy.

I have broken most if not all of the "ironclad" trial rules. Being a good attorney requires judging what will work - not just using a cookie-cutter rules. Recently, the Musk trial provided an example of ignoring "ironclad" cross-examination rules to good effect.

Google is rolling out Gemini Advanced, its answer to ChatGPT. I was about to try out the app, but I saw it would take the place of Google Assistant. I don't know if I'm willing to risk screwing up all my automations, etc. just to try out a duplicate of an app I already have.
