Instead of age verification, websites should just make you describe the first time you saw someone die on the Internet. if the story makes whoever reads it sad, you're an adult for Internet purposes.

A screenshot showing five differently coloured bombermen on a plain yellow background. Green is holding up a small sign with an X on it. Blue appears to be using a CD as a mirror while they clean their face (with a shaving-like implement). White looks forlorn while trying to listen to music on a portable Cd player, and Red is hurling a CD at Black's head.
Super CD ROM error message screen (as in, seen when trying to play it on a non-super PCE system) from the special CD demo of Bomberman '94 (the final game turned up on HuCard):
ICE is a death squad
"Thereβs an almost arcade-like rhythm to the game, the linear world map treating the places within it mostly as compact, self-contained stages."

A pixel art illustration of a fictional PC-98 version of Xenoblade Chronicles X. It features a Skell configuration screen with Elma assigned as the pilot. The Skell being configured is a red Verus/Wels model.
An illustration of Morrigan Aensland, originally drawn in October 2025. This is cropped closer than the original post, for a better view of some of the details. The pose is based on an unfinished Hiderou Horibe sketch.
An illustration of Marcille Donato from Delicious in Dungeon, based on one of the ending credit slides from the Record of Lodoss War OVA. Marcille is sitting and looking off to the side and has her tome clutched to her chest. The silhouette background displays various features and creatures of the dungeon.
An illustration of Tiffany Lords from the Rival Schools series for Udon's 2025 Street Fighter & Friends Swimsuit Special. She is wearing an elaborate bikini and running playfully away from a large wave. The wave is starting to overtake Ran Hibiki, who is attempting to take pictures. Roy Bromwell is surfing the same wave in the distance.
Hi #PortfolioDay, I'm Regulus and I draw things from the 90s. And elves, lately.
A photo of a colourful line artwork Super Famicom box and copies of the two games available at launch, F-Zero and Super Mario World.
Kicking off with some birthday greets to the Super Famicom! Released in Japan on this day 35 years ago.
Fearing Yakuza were going to hijack shipments of Super Fami's, Nintendo trucked them in secret to stores: Operation Midnight Shipping.
What are some of your favourite SF or SNES games, peeps?
So the SNES is rather special to me.
Other games we got:
- Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
- Super Mario Kart
- F-Zero
- Mortal Kombat 3
- Killer Instinct
- Super Star Wars
- A horrible Simpsons game
- A cricket game
- A soccer game
Endless replaying of DKC2, SMW2, SMK and F-Zero in particular
I never played 1 or 3 until way later, as I only owned 2 as a kid. They're all fun in their own right!
I never had an allowance as a kid, so could only play what we had (we got given the SNES from family friends, was around the time Gamecube came out - I've always been a bit behind the times!)
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest remains one of my absolute favourite games, and is the game most synomous with my childhood.
Something about the weight and momentum of the characters just hits so right. Not to mention the fantastic level design and enchanting music.
Will forever love it!

The Pacers have been through basketball hell.
So naturally, I wrote about all of the ways that Andrew Nembhard is navigating the (under)world of defenders ducking under: www.patreon.com/posts/143680...
"... a mess of corrupted nothings and indecipherable scrolling objects, chunks of absent graphics still pulsating to an unknown rhythm against an expanse of broken information."

Hey, there's a fresh article on my site!
Sword and Fairy Inn is hypnotically stressful, utterly charming, enjoyably complex, and a lot of fun:
