All the craziness going on in the world is driving me to think about this. I find it amazing that people can see the same facts and come to such different conclusions.
All the craziness going on in the world is driving me to think about this. I find it amazing that people can see the same facts and come to such different conclusions.
I question that Iβve been thinking about latelyβ¦
Do we respond to the world as it actually is? Or, do we respond to the world as we believe it to be?
Do we ever experience reality directly?
Your husband is a good man, I wish more people were like this.
And more importantly, how do we help others do the same?
These bad ideas are literally like mind parasites infecting our mind like a pathogen. The question is how do we get immunity from bad ideas, activate our rational faculties and align our beliefs with reality?
Ideas can spread despite being delusional, destructive and just downright false. When these false ideas work their way into our system of beliefs, the system doesnβt serve us well. The system becomes dysfunctional and resistant to belief revision.

Iβve also read A Short Stay, and enjoyed it. Iβve listened to Jesus and John Wayne but did it at a busy time of life so I donβt remember a lot of details so I did vote for it and Kingdom of Nauvoo.
Hope your oldest is doing well.
Yeah, sometimes Iβll listen to a book and retain a lot of the info, but other times in one ear and out the other. I think not remembering this one was due to information overload.
It does.
Listened to Jesus and John Wayne a year or so ago while on a business trip for training. I remember enjoying it, but not many of the details.
I donβt know the story of how it was written, but I have read and have a copy of the book. I would definitely re-read it.
Hmm, which book to choose?
Feeling, burnt out.
Having to verify the facts in just about every news story I read is exhausting.
On campus today, not for the football game, but to support family at a dance competition.

Just tried it on the Mac and it opened up fine. On the iPhone I get the subscribe message. I think the phone is using Safari as my Mac is using Firefox.
Same as what I got.
They keep using that word (knowledge). I do not think it means what they think it means.
Thank you. This way I can give it a listen and see how they determine and interpret the βfactsβ.
I donβt subscribe to the SL Trib, can you tell me the name of the podcast this article is referring to? Thanks in advance.
