It always feels nice when I get messages asking if I'll be vending during an event and if I'll have more merch. Or people just being happy that I'll be at an event they plan on attending. All the small talks and crazy adventures. It's hard work don't get me wrong.

I still refuse to play the online fame game and I will never do anything I don't want to. I don't do trends, I don't post specific things at specific times just to please the algorithm gods. I'll always do what I genuinely enjoy and I'll share it because I want to not because I have to.

And sometimes it feels like I get more recognition and praise for my work from people in the flesh than online. Especially since my reach and following tanked around 2017/18-ish after the algorithmification of the web. I never was big to begin with but the little following I had shrank even more.

Betting on a more irl art career is paying off so far. Both financially and mentally tbh. It's still hovering below the minimum wage but I can feed myself and pay my bills (I own my apartment so I'm not paying off someone else's loans lmao). I travel with friends, meet new people, sell my art 🫴🩷
