It’s very much greatest hits with all the tonal whiplash you’d expect, but honestly that’s what I’m here for in the series.
Having read a lot of the replies I’m just not that into 7. The first section is impeccable and it then outstays its welcome. The stuff on the ship is particularly turgid.

One of the most evocative worlds i’ve ever explored in fiction.
