And I'm a supporter of call and text lines. But there are also some serious problems with call and text lines that fly totally under the rader (like people being told they're not suicidal enough for the help line, or women being harassed).

Congress could, and should, ban this. Impose the same rule nationwide as some states already have: if an incumbent doesn't file for reelection by the deadline, the window to file gets extended a week or two.
