fair, but the German Doner Kebab shop next door was rammo kablammo. The burger king was busy. The cinema opposite seemed to be doing good trade too. They seem oddly specific and rather underused.

Ha. It's the lack of customers, not the owners (who I've never seen). I stayed in a Travelodge above one on Monday and there was nobody in there at any point on the few times I walked past.
Black walls, lurid pink neon lights, MDF benches all installed cheaply in a bland high street space. Plus a high likelihood the food is from Costco. They scream 'money laundering'. It's not going to be a pleasant experience.
My exact thought when you said 'liquid dogshit' was .. but that one about the photo library was good wasn't it? I liked it. I'm sure I did.
Also, "oh, he's pleased to see you" slipped in from the adult act?
Under my seat. Teléfono Bumhole? No I can't make it work.
@ofalafel.bsky.social we found it!
Cheers
@marcusbrig.bsky.social this is almost word for word a very funny bit i saw you do more than once on racist neighbours. "They are going to rape your wife". "What, all of them?". Or something like that. It brought the house down with its obvious ludicrous daftness.
my god.
sorry to chime in, i was just browing bluesky. I use Swinsian on desktop to organise my music (like olden days itunes, it's perfect for simple filing a massive collection) and then i run a little plex server on a raspi just for music and use plexamp for listening on the go.
@vecchiojo.bsky.social new bike day :)
There is no ad-free single screen option. This is shit.
I'm really unimpressed with this.
Giro had a stream with ads, a stream without ads and multiscreen. The stream without ads has been removed for the tour.
@robhatch.bsky.social argh... So if I don't want adverts, I have to watch multiscreen. I don't want to watch multiscreen. This is rubbish. This is really stupid. Multiscreen gives me a headache.
@jonnylong.bsky.social last week. It was last week that I realised I was wearing the wrong jeans.
@nedboulting.bsky.social can you spot the latest addition to this shelf?
I suggest the Rutland and Melton Cicle Classic is a race that stands alongside Lincoln and possibly even above it. Well worth a visit next year.
@kit-nicholson.bsky.social re. WVA's knee in todays pod. I think he has keloids. My wife and son get this. Even a minor cut can heal pretty lumpy. I'm not sure the appearance matches the severity.
I think Skeleton Crew deserves to be mentioned. A properly good family TV series.
It sits in esteemed company on my shelf.
Children by Robert Miles.
Elbows up, Canada.
@robhatch.bsky.social did you describe ganna as "bollocking" down the hill. Amazing. I love it.
I remember when tech was young. You had good lines about 1. People scrolling their phones look like they are wanking off a gerbil (I think about this alot) and 2. "You bought the phone, you didn't invent it". It was all much more innocent back then.
No worries, we are waiting for the paperback :)
My son would love to read Chris Hoy's memoir. He is 14 and has just read his kids' book. His verdict "he is a very positive person". If available, yes please.
(on a personal note it's quite striking how quickly I've gone from "generally a bit of a pinko on defence issues" to "and could I just do a monthly direct debit to BAE Systems, would that help")
A very clear response from London Fire Commissioner, Andy Rowe to a question at Fire Plenary last week from Emma Best AM about the impact of LTNs on fire brigade attendance times.
"We genuinely couldn't find any evidence of LTNs doing anything to our overall attendance times".
It would be a bt weird to go to this show (wherver it next lands) without a child so I suggest acquiring one if you do not have a ready supply at home. An hour of solid glorious laughter. And as you can see here, I was accusé by Luke and @marcellucont.bsky.social (of bogey rolling.... guilty!)
I only had a crappy phone camera and the light fittings were really high but you might like this photo of Richard III watching your gig today.
