Listening to the mother of former Capitol Police Officer Michael Fanone describing on @joy.msnbc.com how she has been harassed and menaced is making my chest so tight. If your police union hasn’t condemned this conduct if, as a Member of Congress, you’ve condoned these pardons, you are a disgrace.
Devastating for scientists and their research, and everyone who benefits from that research.
I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.
If you are a lawyer, you advocate to save democracy. If you are an elected rep you use legislative power to protect your country. If you are a journalist you write truth in the face of threats to democracy.
If you are a faith leader, you do this. Everyone has a role. Stand upright in yours.
