I think we would need to step back and get a rigid definition of "consciousness" before ascribing it to machine language and considering any legal protections of it
How would you define a "conscious being" and how would you determine them?
I was always the same way, and now it's the exact opposite
I get a *lot* of free books off the street, mostly paperback, and use the library to read everything else
If I'm going to buy a book, it's special, i.e. the first edition hardcover (if one exists)
hear hear! too much repetition and explication in a lot of books
they certainly exist, but it's rare to find a non-fiction author who can keep a readable thread going for 300+ pages
It's funny. My parents always ask me how much gas is out in California, and I'm like "I have no idea" ... $5/gallon? $6? π€·

I think I get it, but not totally
Honest question: why is it specifically anti-Jewish? I think I am missing it...
Isn't it basically "anti-everyone who isn't Christian"?
CREW made a list in December. It was 33 then, but I think there are more now

Using a potential government payout for facilitating a coup to silence a child victim of sexual assault is quintessential Epstein class
Well that's a shit headline for sure
Why would they pay for MagicSchool when they can get Notebook LM for free via Google Classroom?
(I am not advocating for using NotebookLM (or any Google software) in schools)
This is not news of any importance for anyone
I question access journalism
not enough time? the text messages came out pretty close to the election
my thought exactly
*nodding sagely, smiling*
"yes, yes, bad things can do happen"
what the heck is "firefly"?
ugh, that's super obnoxious and ignorant
> gen Z males (born 1997-2012)
I would think there's a big difference between the early and later cohorts (but I also don't believe much in "generations" at all tbh)
Gen Z still includes current teenagers, right?
I wonder how much the young age has to do with it
The "traditional" gender thinking can also be very juvenile
He doesn't do that
lmao
