After this we went back to Claireโs and listen to Marquee Moon in itโs entirety and drank whisky until the small hours. Couldnโt think of a better gang to make a magazine with tbh.
Indeed!
Yesterday I spent a full day in a meeting with @katiematherkm.bsky.social and @clairembullen.bsky.social planning to future of Pellicle and afterwards we had fantastic food and beer at the @kernelbrewery.bsky.social before delicious pints at The Hand and Marigold.

A bottle of wireworks heritage chevallier whisky from white peak distillery on my garden table
Treated myself to this 100% crisp malt heritage chevallier Wireworks whisky from @whitepeak.bsky.social. Iโve had all chev beers before and itโs such a muscular, expressive grain. Canโt wait to tear into this.
This is just such a great piece of analysis with photos that take you right into the heart of the action. Incredible work from @anahlcq.bsky.social and @cmluttun.bsky.social!
Stories like this make me smug as all hell to be deputy editor of @pelliclemag.com
@anahlcq.bsky.social is the best drinks and working class culture writer in the world right now. I said what I said.

Rustic, you say? I happen to be writing an article about the concept of โrusticity in beerโ. Expect correspondence by electronic mail.
A couple of sitting MPs follow me so I am resharing this because I think this is a pretty darn good idea and imagine if we had something similar in the uk that helped showcase our long, rich culture of beer and brewing.
Which poacher do you mean btw? Lincolnshire poacher on bunkers hill?
Cheers mate
