Both of these are near where I live, interesting.

Most of my PC backstory in my solo campaigns is emergent and I wouldn't have it any other way. Having a backstory that is growing, blending with the game play is rad.
ttrpg look much more like a toy then a game: you can play with it the way you want, can change the rules and donβt necessarily have to win!

Book cover with a roughly sketched image inside a series frame. Frame has a broken sword and the title is "Outlaw's Apprentice: Broken Blade." Sketch is of a teenage boy and an adult woman surrounded by sword-wielding fellas in vaguely-skullish helmets that hide their features. There''s a castle in the background with a tall, mostly timber keep and slanting peaked roofs, surrounded by a wooden palisade. Behind that, a forest.
Landed on a composition for the cover for book 1. Pretty happy with it, hopefully it'll convey what the series is going to have (duo leads, swordfighting, trees, armed and masked agents of an unjust state, castle of unfamiliar design, mud).
Such great work.

I think she's right...

I don't watch a lot of tv series, but my sister introduced me to the newest version of 'All Creatures Great and Small'. What a cathartic* gem with excellent production value & really great performances. The subtle, unspoken acting is really amazing.

When I play a solo ttrpg campaign, death is not usually on the table. My PC's usually have 'plot armor' because "a fate worse then death" is usually more interesting; having to deal with consequences, personal growth and problem solving is usually more exciting and enriching for me.
Curious about the history of the San Francisco Bay Area's now defunct electric streetcar system?

Cool and trippy animation
The ultimate result of the attempted monopoly being created by the prospective merger of WB and Paramount is its own collapse. Unification of businesses in an industry doesn't create growth of the unified business. It creates a drought of interest. Audiences turn elsewhere and new business grows. --
-- it will be awful for a lot of people who will lose their jobs and I really don't want to see this merger happen for that reason. But if you're a creative, an entrepreneur, an investor, then it's time to start planning because the opportunity to fill an entertainment vacuum will present itself.
You gotta watch The Gorillaz short its a light in the darkness:

Did they film over actual painted backgrounds? If so, wow it looks great
Well, the gorillaz video use actual cells for part of it?!
The Gorillaz's new music video is really nicely done.
Great animation with some stunning backgrounds.
Also the idea of having a music video for three tracks is cleaver.
And that all leads me to think that anyone who takes Peter Parker as a personal icon is probably more likely than average to greet strangers on the street and ask how they are.
Showed them a bunch of Bill Sienkiewicz stuff today, some of which I hadnβt seen in such high resolution until recently. This Judge Dredd cover is so sick. Look at those actual ass electronic components just glued on there!
This made me laugh.
