Hoping that another useless war can also help people come to grips with the idea that poor Kids of Color should not be forced into the military to pay for college or to get discipline or for any reason. Especially now that masks have come off & nazis and white supremacists are running the military

I'm aware @officialgrammarly.bsky.social has said people can opt out of this, THAT IS ALSO ENRAGING. LLMs have already coopted and stole and plundered creative people's work, now we also have to contact YOU after you steal our identities? Fuck all the way off with that! It's MORE THEFT YOU CLOWNS

Sometimes I think about the frybread I had at this one restaurant in New Mexico, and I wonder about driving there to get some more.

Sure, gas is expensive now...but good frybread is good frybread.

(Only an 11 hour drive!)

But never forget that a lot of people didn’t think it was an issue yet because they started by being anti DEI

and well really they were tired of woke so they just wanted to wait til that got cleared first

This is Summit. He is a friend to pretty much everyone he meets. But has a special soft spot for the little critters who stop long enough for him to say hello. 13/10 (IG: bakerbarnes)

The thing that drives me nuts about people who talk about Platner being "deserving of redemption" is that Platner has never really acknowledged what he did wrong in the first place. Paths to forgiveness and redemption can and should exist. But like, you have to earnestly get that you messed up.

Don’t lose yourself.

Lemme tell you something. . .

If what you're selling is the idea that people who voted for Trump didn't know exactly what they voted for?

I'm not buying.

Octavia E. Butler said, β€œThese novels are not prophetic. These novels are cautionary tales… The problems that I write about are problems that we can do something about. That's why I write about them.”

And β€œI hope they're not prophecy because I don't want to live in that world.”

Can’t wait for @txfreedomread.bsky.social to drop some bombshells. Who could have predicted SB13 would result in good books being banned?
Oh that’s right, we advocates did. Multiple times.

Who would have guessed that the legal system in America was so fragile that a single crazy president could ignore the whole thing, from the Constitution right down to state laws?
Why does the Supreme Court and Congress let this demented moron act like the dictator of a banana republic?

This historian dug up the hidden history of 'amateur' blackface in America In her new book, Darkology, historian Rhae Lynn Barnes writes about how blackface and minstrel shows became one of the most popular forms of entertainment in 19th- and 20th-century America.

Incredible @nprfreshair.bsky.social interview with historian Rhae Lynn Barnes about the history of amateur blackface β€”Β the part about blackface texts disappearing from libraries is particularly interesting

Federal Judges Are Slowly Realizing They Can Treat Trump Like Anyone Else Federal judges have been reluctant to hold the Trump administration in contempt for violating court orders. Now, they are getting impatient.

There are signs that at least some federal judges are getting tired of the Trump administration simply ignoring court orders

I still get a kick out of how Nana Visitor's name is also a cool occupation.

Your job: to visit nanas. They insist you eat delicious food, tell you raunchy and gory stories of the men they have killed, sometimes you help them reach items on tall shelves. A perfect job.

Man.

The world fucking is on fire.

So go be as corny and cringe as you wanna be without hurting people.

Live whats left of your only life.

If you can’t be free in your body at least go be free in your mind and soul.

Fuck the haters.
