Can't quite match that, we only had Justin Norris rewriting every record as he moved up the age groups.

Typo in the headline?

Should be "smoother", or?

That would be an ideal outcome. But as they say... "Tell 'im he's dreamin'!" πŸ™ƒ

Oh, and car owners are not responsible if the driver can't be identified. So some official enforcement fails and lots of private complaints get dismissed even with dashcam footage clearly demonstrating the offence.

Right? And even though political discussion is focused on replacing unlimited with 130km/h (which will almost certainly never happen) they could achieve far more Impact by raising the fines to something actually onerous and increasing enforcement.

Unfortunately the thirst for speed remains even in sections of Autobahn with speed limits and on other roads. Very common to have folks doing 150+ in 100 zones, 70+ in 50 zones and 40-50 in 30 zones. And with almost total impunity.

14.12.2025 08:10 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

So "unlimited" just means no penalty for speed on its own. Combined with bad weather or poor line of sight it can become reckless driving. And if an accident occurs where you were going more than 130km/h you are more likely to get contributory negligence.

14.12.2025 08:07 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Moving from AU to DE was also an eye opener. DE has a lot fewer speed cameras and very little mobile enforcement. And even if caught, the fines are pitifully low, barely a punishment for most folks and certainly not for the well off. Not surprising then that folks speed, and not just a few Ks over..

β€’ Al Overview
The idiom "you can't lick a badger twice" means you can't trick or deceive someone a second time after they've been tricked once. It's a warning that if someone has already been deceived, they are unlikely to fall for the same trick again.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
β€’ Licking: "Licking" in this context means to trick or deceive someone.
β€’ Badger: The badger is a wild animal, and the phrase likely originates from the historical sport of badger baiting where dogs were used to harass

Animal Kingdom (2010) Joshua β€œJ” is taken in by his extended family after his mother dies of an overdose. The clan, ruled by J’s scheming grandmother, is heavily involved in criminal activities, and J is soon indoctrinated...

I was confused at first until I realised it was a different movie, almost identical name...

I think I have found a fix to remove the bubble permanently.

It looks like turning off Facetime notifications and restarting works!

If your Facetime notifications are already off, toggle them on, switch the style to β€˜None’ then turn back off then restart.ο£Ώ > System Settings > Notifications > Facetime > turn off Allow Notifications. Then restart your machine. (tried this without restarting and it did not work).

Hope that fixes it for you. Hope even more that Apple patches this terrible feature

kyle_maclachlan Forty-two years ago, for reasons beyond my comprehension, David Lynch plucked me out of obscurity to star in his first and last big budget movie. He clearly saw something in me that even I didn't recognize. I owe my entire career, and life really, to his vision.
What I saw in him was an enigmatic and intuitive man with a creative ocean bursting forth inside of him. He was in touch with something the rest of us wish we could get to.
Our friendship blossomed on Blue Velvet and then Twin Peaks and I always found him to be the most authentically alive person I'd ever met.
David was in tune with the universe and his own imagination on a level that seemed to be the best version of human. He was not interested in answers because he understood that questions are the drive that make us who we are. They are our breath.
While the world has lost a remarkable artist, l've lost a dear friend who imagined a future for me and allowed me to travel in worlds I could never have conceived on my own.
I can see him now, standing up to greet me in his backyard, with a warm smile and big hug and that Great Plains honk of a voice. We'd talk coffee, the joy of the unexpected, the beauty of the world, and laugh.
His love for me and mine for him came out of the cosmic fate of two people who saw the best things about themselves in each other.
I will miss him more than the limits of my language can tell and my heart can bear. My world is that much fuller because I knew him and that much emptier now that he's gone.
David, I remain forever changed, and forever your Kale. Thank you for everything.

After nearly three decades, a Minnesota summer camp for kids with HIV/AIDS is closing and up for sale... because retroviral drugs are so effective that there aren't enough campers.

Science works, y'all.

This has made it into the Silicon Valley water table; it must be dealt with. There are some good nuggets within; let's dig them out.

Contractor ignored our sign to just leave the bag, take the note as proof of delivery and rang our doorbell at 1am waking everyone 😭
