Which is to say: things being cheaper (here coding) can actually increase their demand. I see this in my own work: there are a ton of slightly-useful but tricky tasks I never would have bothered to do before, but now that they're trivial I do them. It's not replacing my work, I'm just doing more.
As someone you're referring to, I want to clarify. The coding tools are definitely scary in the sense of how good they are: a ton of things I used to work hard on are now trivial. In terms of job security, it's uncertain but my money is on it being beneficial due to the Jevons paradox.
