Well, original home was ITV (Global) so ??? But it is Canada gold, and yes, love to see it on CBC since I wonβt take Prime.
@ltrytten
Canadian first. Critical metals for the energy transition - development, processing, impacts. Most professional stuff on LI. Also comments on transportation, urban design, and political systems. And other life matters...

E-bikers with solar panels even more so!
This reps only one of the definitions of desolate - empty of people. Not barren and lifeless!
Alberta finally decided to do what other provinces have been doing for years. Iβve been working on mining projects in BC for the last 7 years - one regulator has been the approach for longer than that.
Homes for humans before mansions for millionaires.
Long term, electricity can get off fossil too, but it does need to be continuous power.
Not a lot of fossil use in the process, but lots of electricity. The Bayer process to convert bauxite to Al2O3 needs heat, but runs with lots of heat recovery to minimize. The main reagent is NaOH, largely electricity dependent. Al2O3 to Al largely electricity dependent.
This week Secretary Hegseth gave an object lesson in the folly of hyper-masculine overconfidence: the administration claimed all week that it controls the war and Iranβs destiny without boots on the ground. They forgot we live in an asymmetric world in which small acts have big economic impacts.
And in front of downtown EPL!
βUnsanitary alleywaysβ. I guess donβt lick them? Or is this perhaps code for something else?
Always love a good ternary diagram!
Are available, letβs not choose status quo which will build a failing city.
Or bylaw could crack down on existing vehicles. We need you to stay the course on gentle density and build real 5A active mobility that functions in winter. We need differentiated taxation that makes suburbs pay their fair share of costs, which would encourage density. So many smart urban policies
Mayor, we need more action to curb dangerous driving. Too many people suffer, as does too much city infrastructure. EPS will no enforce tinted window laws, so those of us outside cars cannot even make eye contact to ensure our own safety. City could crack down on dealers illegally tinting, and EPS
Some of us (#yeg) have not voted for this government and would appreciate more thoughtful (and less corrupt) practice!
Ghost car was right behind, flipped on the lights and stopped the driver for a ticket. I re-routed my walk just so I could walk past and thank the officer! The cyclist coming the other way from me seemed equally pleased at the outcome!
So I was witness to a bonafide miracle today! Crossing 111 ave at 113 st beg light, after waiting my requisite 1-2 minutes and forgoing the jaywalking opportunities across the 6+ lanes, the light finally turned. Inside and outside vehicles stopped, middle driver sped through the red light. #yegbike
I worked on a bid for stabilization of that once upon a time. Truly a disaster led by one of our industryβs less salubrious characters at the end.
If you want some, Canada has lots of arsenic trioxide stored at the former Giant mine in Yellowknife.
Lots in Idaho! Comes with cobalt.
#yeg #yyc #alberta
Do you want responsible fiscal management or not? Time to choose.
Physiologists suggest it would be healthier than permanent DSTβ¦
With BCβs move to permanent DST, I guess #alberta will be on Saskatchewan time in the summer and BC time in the winter. Kind of donβt even need our own time zone!
Well, when you tell them ahead of time you wonβt tow themβ¦
Heck, itβs barely competitive with those seatsβ¦
The other 10% were probably in bike lanesβ¦
I'm not religious nor a booster of Asian culture per se (although I love Japanese attitudes towards public garbage) but this made me stop and think today. We could use a bit more of this in the world. In a brilliant book by @peterfrankopan.bsky.social
Cue the outraged βbut when is menβs history monthβ by those who donβt realize that is EVERY month.
A Dar Williams song for this gray day. She was great at FolkFest (too many) years ago.

Retirement funding or over-leveraged themselves to be landlords. I remember the 80s crash with low oil prices, falling employment, and high interest rates that led people to walk away from some investments. Not pretty, but every investment can go two ways.
