After moving from Brazil to Canada I was happy with gaining access to great campus facilities, but at the same time shocked with the amount of the so called BS expedients and jobs that could be turned into more scholarships, bursaries, decrease tuition and so on.
Interesting reading, this is a time that some Brazil politicians are trying to pass and add to our constitution that will enable commercializing blood to private parties which goes against decades of building our universal health care system (SUS).

Wow, I love that too! It's amazing what we can observe from them too.
One of the things I mostly love about my research in general is conducting a good field work with communities and co-creating knowledge with them. What about you folks? What do you mostly love about doing what you do?

Now that the Marco Temporal horrible thesis is voted against, indigenous people will be able to continue to claim and dispute historical lands even if the lands were not occupied by them (due to colonization, military oppression, displacements, etc.) in 1988, when the constitution was passed.
Big news from Brazil! The suprem court has finally enough votes to put down the legal thesis "Marco Temporal", which argue that indigenous people could only claim lands that were occupied by them in 1988. This is a big step towards recognizing indigenous peoples' rights and lands!
What a happy day!
