Ah.. the hell with it.
Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene have both now said that Fox News is propaganda.
The right wing is tearing itself apart and Iβm loving every minute of it.

Anyways. Karen Read had to pull out all the stops of the privilege available to her in order to beat the charges set forth by a corrupt system. And it still took two trials.
So imagine all those without those resources and social capital to defend themselves.
We don't talk enough about the total financial ruin defendants face when the state brings an absurd case like this. They prosecuted Karen Read for years while law enforcement engaged in blatant misconductβand she lost both her jobs, her home, and her life savings. It's bullshit.
The Karen Read trial was incredible because usually that degree of law enforcement sloppiness is reserved for an inner city. They really thought they could get a real conviction there.
it is a sign of just how little pull vance has in the white house that he made an account on a niche social network to troll
they want to blame Black people so badly. there's been a consistent push to malign one of the most loyal voting bases for Democrats and if it continues to succeed, Dems will actually see electoral wipeouts for years to come.
Sure seems like that report would clear this right up.
Strange.
All this because Trumpβs ex sugar daddy said he was in the secret Epstein files?
Wait. One of the main forces behind "The Harper's Letter," which to this day is held up as being a crowning achievement in support of free speech (which it never was) believes that the masses don't deserve free speech?
How... unsurprising.
Jack Poso = @ @JackPosobiec β’ 21h ump should cancel the invitation of the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles if the Governor and Mayor refuse to comply with federal immigration enforcement
I hate to give him airtime, but Iβm guessing other countries are expressing concerns and heβs trying to get ahead of it to help 47 save faceβ¦
Athletes and countries are absolutely be reconsidering attending the 2028 games given our current environment. The U.S. is not a safe place.
I'm can't quite remember the word for it... You know, when you eschew market forces for commands from the White House that control which plants are open and which are closed...

The world's stupidest trade war, incompetently executed. Chinese "exports have risen by 6% overall, owing to increased shipments to Europe and South-East Asia. Chinaβs currency, meanwhile, is stronger now against the dollar than it was before April 2nd." www.economist.com/finance-and-...

The new FTC:
I was a medic at the Santa Ana protests in OC today.
I watched police fire tear gas, flash bangs, & rubber bullets into crowds of men, women, & children.
Other medics and I were clearly marked with red crosses, and the police were targeting us.
One of the most fucked up things Iβve ever seen.
Baja California Police Cmdr. Abigail Esparza Reyes devoted her career to capturing fugitives from U.S. justice. Sheβs the Abigail in Kevin Sieff's 2022 Post report on the Gringo Hunters.
She saw her job as protecting Mexico from American criminals.
She was shot to death Wednesday.

Thomas Chatterton Williams on X: "I donβt care if youβre razing Kenosha, storming the Capitol, or doing whatever this is in LA, no democracy can function when every group and identity block decides it has the right and moral authority to take its specific political disagreements into the streets." Retweeted by Jake Tapper.
"A society can't allow EVERYBODY to have free speech!" is a helluva take.
what i like about this post is it is an illustration of one of the most distinctive qualities of williams' work and mainstream punditry in general, which is a belief that history began a decade ago

This was the inevitable consequence.
The U.S. system of governmentβthe two party system, the Senate that's biased to small/rural/white states, the electoral college, the lifetime Supreme Court appointments, the cult-like presidencyβhonestly made times like these inevitable.
