If you want to see the rest of the combined minute and a half of animation I made during the month of november, go play my game!
Earlier today, I released Utter Rubbish, my entry for the NovemBuck game Jam!
It's a short VN about a robot and a grease monkey deer.
More than that, I used the jam as an excuse to learn blender and animation... lmao.

Just finished my novembuck... Gonna wait until tomorrow when it's not three in the morning to do a last read through and post it though...

so close to finished with my novembuck....

a blender image of a room with multi colored paint on the walls and cold purple lighting with arm bands of light coming through a window.
blender lighting is very fun, though, I have to say.

I've ended up doing a decent chunk of the more complicated 2d stuff in clip studio just because that's what i'm more familiar with.
although it is primarily a 3d program, so I understand why it is the way it is.
it's a learning curve, I guess, is what I'm saying.
but it's also extremely frustrating in a lot of ways. i'm sure to some degree it's just inexperience, but there are a lot of things, particularly with the grease pencil, where I'll feel like I just can't easily make the program work the way I want/expect it to.
now that I'm about a third of the way through all the assets i'm planning to make, blender review:
deeply powerful tool with so many cool tricks and things you can do with it, and the ability to use a 3d camera and set with 2d drawing and assets is super awesome.

thanks for the kind words, glad my story resonated with people

Some Guys : )

okay, I think the scene is pretty much good, now I just need to put the guys in it.
a blender render of a room. there is a table, a handful of boxes, and some sheet metal. sunlight filters into the room through slats.
Perhaps using novembuck as an opportunity to learn blender isn't like... a great idea... but I'm having a good time!
the same blender render of a room, with more lighting and stylization
haha, if you will
lmao
My novembuck script is done, now I just have to do the absolutely stupid thing I decided to do for how it's gonna look.
After October I really want to do novembuck but I feel like my idea is way to ambitious... We'll see. ...
a black and white image of a girl, with yellow pictures of bees overlayed behind and in front of her,
a black and white image of four friends standing in the dark, talking.
four friends with flashlights wander down a dark hallway, looking around.
Two girls, an anthro bear and a human, sit beneath a window, talking.
Two figures huddle on the floor while two of their friends appear in a doorway with a flashlight. the scene is rendered in black and white.
A black and white hand reaches out over a collage of yellow images of bees
a dark black and white view up a chimney
a black and white image of a house in the dark. a girl stands off to the right.
Results of my 24 hour self imposed game jam:
4.5k words, 30 separate CGs, and a lot of sleep deprivation.
Gonna share some of my favorite images from my haunted house visual novel below
