Letβs all call Massie today and get him to switch parties. Then force Gonzalez to resign. Then get the gavel, issue some subpoenas, and impeach some motherfuckers

If the antichrist stated exactly who he was but got the GOP nom in an election, a full half of Republicans would vote for him
Casey Means is an imminent threat to public health, and yet another grifter who stands to benefit at the expense of the American public.

10 years... It's a good way to keep languages in your head daily. Worked for me at least.
It looks like they only ran the study for 3 years. Given the amount of time that it takes cancer to develop and advance from early to late stage even in this admittedly very large study do you think prevalence might overwhelm incidence and give a type 2 error?
User profile for Nick Gorton says "Primary care & EM doc. Medical Director at Lyon-Martin Community Health. Queer, poly, sarcastic nerd. He/him/Γ©l. Don't take anything I say literally." But the words Medical Director are crossed out with a red pen.
User profile now changed to say "Primary care & EM doc. Director of Gender Affirming Care at Lyon-Martin Community Health. Queer, poly, sarcastic nerd. He/him/Γ©l. Don't take anything I say literally."
At long last as of yesterday I am no longer the non-consensual Medical Director at Lyon-Martin Community Health. I cannot adequately describe how happy I am today at being demoted to director of gender affirming care. Admin is the single most unpleasant part of healthcare.
Tbh with my experience with United Healthcare denials for appropriate care... 90% may actually be a slight improvement
The Kansas legislature has overridden the veto and passed a bathroom ban with a bounty provision.
This bill also directs the Kansas DMV to revoke the driver's licenses of trans people, the first state to pass such a law.

Itβs weird we never do stuff like this with other terrible decisions. Newspaper doesnβt run βI saw a half empty can of Mountain Dew left on the street and drank the rest of that mferβ, and the guy who drank the Mountain Dew is only hurting himself
Right. And what do you want to bet his homeopathy also includes non-homeopathic doses of hydrocodone.

Also, while I can't talk deets, I've been working w/ a few folks in the CA DOH about funding care when/if federal limits prevent people getting care (especially youth). This is going to have a much bigger effect than mandating that insurance cover 1 yr Rxs I can't by law Rx for more than 6 mos.
3) It's illegal federally to dispense (or prescribe) more than 6 mos of T. It's a schedule 3 controlled substance. Also insurers are already required to pay for rxs (and do). That was a dumb law written by people who don't understand medical care.
2) CA med board already does a better job than most states. And personally I'm not keen on forcing them to speed up when their job is ensure licensure of safe docs. Also CAs problem isn't docs, it's hospitals closing down youth care - and Newsom's admin is going hard against that.
1) The custody cases I mentioned - it was not a well written law and could have forced a court to award custody to an abusive parent if they accepted the kids gender ID. Most laws that limit judicial discretion are dicey at best.

The two negatives: he said on a podcast he wasn't sure that trans women should be able to participate in women's sports (tho CA policy letting trans kids play in K-12 is unchanged) & he vetoed 1 bill about child custody which I agree was a poorly drafted law that created more problems than it solved
I'm a physician who treats transgender people in CA. I'm quite well aware of what he's done regarding trans people and it's 90% positive - like millions to trans led orgs, MediCal coverage of trans care that is better than any private insurance (tho CA requires insurance coverage for all)...
Wow.
