Yes, Zoey, thank you, I probably did need to pee. Your food plates have been refreshed, may I please sleep for another two hours?

Stayed up too late reading brain candy.
And apparently it was the discussion book for January. At least I read the whole thing in one sitting so it should be easy to catch up to March?
This is the sort of day when I wish dinner would just magically appear. I don't know what I want, and I don't particularly want to cook anything. Zoey also doesn't think I should stand up.
Round two is happening with another hat.
It is! It's a single ply wool yarn that's been in stash forever, leftover from a sweater.
Photo from before the hat went into its bath. Handknit hat with a spiral pattern. The yarn is many shades of green. The hat is leaning against a torbie cat sitting on a brown chair. Her tail is poking out on the left, her upper body is cropped out of the frame.
I have a hat soaking. It's ready to come out of the water and be blocked, but cat.
Happy birthday!
Sitting outside because it's finally spring. There is a Hooded Merganser swimming in the pond, and some Mallards and Canada Geese on the shore. Tiny little duck is tiny!
(And yes, autocarrot, I did mean duck this time.)
Zoey and I are arguing about what she should eat. She has three options available, but wants a fourth.
But alas, it's not 4 am, it is not Churu Time.
Oh, good, as I was typing she started eating her dinner.
Just LOVE when I am added to a super spammy newsletter because I "visited" a website. That I don't think I actually visited, because I have very little interest in sportsball, and the whole thing is about sportsball.
No, Heavy, I DON'T care about the Cleveland Browns, especially not 3x/day.
Today's song to my cat is to the time of Superman by R.E.M.
You are (you are) Zoey Cat
And you are a good kitty.
A friend is flying in on Friday, and my big monthly project is due Tuesday night. Would like to get a chunk of that done tomorrow, plus I have to get ready for the weekend!
Is anyone desperately searching for a ticket to see R. F. Kuang in Cleveland tomorrow night?
Zoey told me I was done for the day, so I stopped and made dinner. Was NOT actually done, but didn't do any of the things that I need to do, just helped lower my boss's blood pressure.
Want to go to an event tomorrow night, but should probably stay home and work.
I just gasped, that would be amazing.
Mail carrier and steel worker.
Bottom half of a torbie cat. She's standing with her front two paws on a black keyboard.
Working.
I appreciate that tip! Enjoy the beautiful weather!
Forgive me for laughing, but oh, how I identify with this!!! I need to start keeping knitting on my desk: click open, knit a few stitches. Click to the field I want to modify, knit a few more. Make the change, knit. I spend way too much time waiting for QBO, might as well be productive.
It's AWFUL and it keeps getting worse!!!
My favorite was when it said a $4 parking transaction was health insurance.

Just unsubscribed from a company announcing their new AI tool to "help with your art." Nope, no thanks.
Weird dreams. Was printing brown paper sacks big enough to hold 55 lbs of coffee with @sfharris.bsky.social
(I may be in your part of the world soon, in my dream you wouldn't be there then! We should talk.)
Knitting k3p2 ribbing and you'd think I don't know how to count.
Only slightly relevant, but I am reading a book you might enjoy!

Well. So far today I have been shouting a lot more than usual, including at actual people. (I wasn't really shouting AT those people, they just happened to be talking to me while other people sent emails that made me shout. There are Reasons I shouldn't be around people.)
Had to look up the conference, but I'm in the Cleveland area.
Zoey had her churu and is now purring on my chest.
My cat is people. She's watching TV while sitting on a cat-sized sofa which is on the people-sized couch.
(The Big Bear Valley bald eagle nest is mesmerizing!)
Torbie cat curled up between her human's legs. There is the start of a green handknit hat on her back and the ball in the foreground.
Tweaked my back somehow, have been taking it easy most of the day.
Started four projects because why not. Two are MKALs, one of which runs for nine months, one is a hat that should be a good work project, the cowl should be good for evenings and done quickly.
Sleeping torbie cat. Her face is down and she has a ball of purple yarn next to her.
Zoey is helping me knit.
