What is happening in Turkey goes well beyond the detention of Istanbul's mayor and his team on bogus charges. People are resisting the enrenchment of fascism. There are calls for a general strike and an academic boycott.

I don’t know how many months I spent for funding applications last year. Your project is great and you ll find another funding for it…or maybe next year your chance ll turn 💜
I have this issue since I started working in a french public university last September. We should absolutely talk more about this problem…
Critical approaches & ECtHR!
I can’t imagine a better start for 2025 🧿
Thank you so much for the invitation @jtheilen.bsky.social @esrademir.bsky.social @cohelongo.bsky.social
Still, I ve met amazing people since 2016, who believed in me and my capacities. I wouldn’t have the strength to complete my PhD otherwise. Thank you…
I’m from TR, a first gen academic, and for a long time, I was the only person speaking a foreign language in the family. My parents are ‘transfuge de classe’, I lack the necessary social & cultural capital
I was crazy enough to move to Strasbourg in 2016 with a lot of hope, a B2 language certificate in French and very little knowledge of the French academic system.
My PhD got a second prize! I received the best thesis on public law from the University of Strasbourg, Law Faculty. It means a lot to me
Calling all PhD students working on law, environment and non-human animals:
Centre Marc Bloch & the Law and Society Institute @ Humboldt Uni are partnering with the Oxford Centre for Socio-Legal Studies for a Winter School in Berlin in March 2025.
Applications are due 20 December!
The Christmas market began just 2 days ago in Strasbourg. It's normal that they can't think of anything else..
My PhD was partly about managerialism at the ECtHR administration and these works look amazing for a comparative perspective!
Oooo kimler buradaymış 😅
I stopped even trying...for my mental health...
Super interesting, thank you! We need more posts like this :)
Exactly.. although at the beginning how I felt was this (btw this is when he reads a scenario written by Jean-Luc Godard):
Thank you 😊
Hello, could you add me as well?
Naah its the same logic but each material is heavier
Hahaha it reminded me how I spend christmas holidays with my husband’s family (his mum has an antique store)
Hello, can you add me as well? Im a socio-legal scholar not from the UK but from France & I work on legal profession 🥹
It gives the feeling that i have the full control of my research 😌
Absolutely, also in the end of Phd your mind can trick you with negative thoughts telling that you should have written your Phd differently. This is normal and does not change the fact that you did your best in the given time with the knowledge you have…and…your work is good 😌
Ludovic was there to help me to draft my 3rd project proposal this year…✨
I would do the same...you don't have festivals everyday 😎
Thank you!
Perfect timing...I have been feeling a bit bored with my relatively calm life for the last 2 months...No more job hunting or PhD anxiety
Hello! Can you add this newbie as well? Thanks a lot!
I know I should be working but...being a newbie here, I just can't stop searching for people and writing comments here and there...
omg, how much I love this video...
