Enjoyed talking with @paulcutler.org on this ep! Learn how I planned to get the drop on Happy Meal toys, the Isle of Misfit Boards, rising to the top of the charts with a four chord song, what would happen if Freud played Shadowrun, and the Macropad Hotkeys II.

The SuperDock in clear blue. ❤️
Looks fantastic, I can't wait!
my first time using 1010_music Bento to sequence the modular (two channels of MIDI out to Yarns for two sets CV/gate), then mix that back in plus reverb, and a couple of tracks of sampled drums and granular pads. Bento is a beast!
I just pulled apart the dashboard of my Jeep, yanked the broken radio out of it, reflowed a chip that had overheated at some point and popped a solder joint, and now the thing works again, yay!
Very cool, just pre-ordered it!
oh no!
Coming tomorrow on a new episode: @paulcutler.org and @todbot.com talk about Tod's recent trip to Supercon. And of course they discuss the badge:
I love it.
probably them preloading all seventeen "Did you want to watch a video on this new AI feature?" videos
This is their way of telling you to go FULL SCREEN TERMINAL ONLY
I just want to put this out into the universe.
If you are a homebrew developer of a GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SMS, MD/Genesis, N64, or PS1 game with a free version or a free demo of you game, I’d love to ship it with SuperStation as a physical or digital demo disk.
no wonder kids end up thinking they don't like Martinis.
I the Poughkeepsie, NY area we called it Mischief Night.
Fantastic! Can't wait.
I just published the first release of my @circuitpython.org Z Machine emulator for the @adafruit.com Fruit Jam. It can run #Zork and other version 3 #zmachine games. Works with Fruit Jam OS too. Download the release here:

awesome! I can't wait to try this out.
Three case designs for the Pico-infoNesPlus RP2040/RP2350 NES emulator:
Bottom: easy to solder PCB designed by @johnpark.bsky.social using @adafruit.com parts
Middle & (very cute) Top: more challenging to solder PCB by Gavin Knight (Github DynaMight1124)
All case designs by Gavin Knight
I just downloaded Star Captain 32767 by squid.jpg/Aaron Pendley

why’d they stop at waffle cones? we demand waffle spheres
I did it! I made a video game. Introducing Star Captain 32767, a retro-arcade shooter with rogue-lite elements, inspired by games like Galaga and 10000000. The game is free, but if you enjoy it I would really appreciate a small donation!

I should have also mentioned PICO-8 in this post. I made it with PICO-8! Frankly this was one of the most rewarding development experiences for me. PICO-8 is such a joy, I'm already conspiring to do more. Anyway play Star Captain 32767 and/or hire me cuz I need a job
awesome, i'm gonna get this to play on my PICO-8 LED matrix!
Excellent work by @frenskefrens.bsky.social getting this NES emulator working beautifully on @adafruit.com Fruit Jam. DVI video out over HDMI, USB and I2C controller support, SD card for rom storage, I2S audio out, and even a scanline overlay mode!
New episode! @johnpark.bsky.social joins the show and shares floppy disk MIDI boomboxes, @todbot.com shares AlgoRave - live coding music, @paulcutler.org shares the rp2350 as a mini-computer (with the Adafruit Fruit Jam released days after recording), and more! www.thebootloader.net/blog/2025/08...
Coming Monday: @johnpark.bsky.social joins the show! JP, Paul and Tod discuss MIDI boomboxes, live music coding, retro-computing, and more. Find the show wherever you get your podcasts or visit thebootloader.net
We had already recorded our new episode when news of the Adafruit Fruit Jam being released yesterday hit. That doesn't mean we weren't already talking about the rp2350 as a mini-computer! Coming Monday on a new episode with special guest @johnpark.bsky.social.
Frustrated with lack of a visual diff for KiCad PCBs in git, I made a simple shell script that does 90% of what I want. Here's a demo of it in action. Now I can "git diff" my PCBs!

Working on another #synthDIY idea. Sort of a scaling up of my “pico_test_synth”. Code first in CircuitPython then maybe Mozzi Arduino
