The Trump regime has abandoned the constitution:
- declared war without Congressional authorization
- ignoring multiple court orders
- impounding Congressional authorized funds
- ignoring the freedom of speech and assembly
Itβs a lawless regime that has no legitimacy.
All it takes to debunk the theory that thousands of kids were pushed into gender-affirming surgeries is to talk to literally any trans person who has tried to get gender-affirming care of ANY kind. It's extremely difficult.
Omg! You got to see it?! So jelly!

If you like jazz, take a listen.
I read the interview yesterday; listened to the music all day. Could not βsay somethingβ in response until today. It is as if I was listening to stories in the music itself, not just βhearingβ music. Miles Davis would have loved this. Maybe heβs listening to it somewhere, too.
I can't describe how much I was moved by this interview, then the music video & then the whole album. I have never heard jazz played like this beforeβit seemed as if it was composed & performed live βoutsideβ in free spaces, not in studios/bldgs. Like trees, streams, winds playing/teaching jazz.
Intent does not negate impact. Be careful & mindful of the words and actions you choose, especially now when there are people experiencing unimaginable violence, loss and despair; when people are dying.
We should be trying to ease that suffering, not contributing to it.
The good human thing to do is make sure that we are not only examining our position and privilege in these power dynamics but adjusting our words and actions accordingly so that we do not contribute to their suffering or oppression through erasure or marginalization.
War is not an equalizer.
The dynamics of power & oppression that exist before war are not neutralized but exacerbated in times of war.
Oppressed communities are more oppressed, put in more dangerous & lethal situations than ever before.
Marique B. Moss put a much-needed story into the world with My Afro-Indigenous Superpower. Itβs a childrenβs book, illustrated by Adair Carroll, that beautifully explores identity and belonging through a childβs eyes and level of understanding.

A banner of two masculine characters leaning up against a birch tree. The one on the left is an Indigenous man wearing a vest covered in beadwork, and the one on the right has paler skin and orange hair, wearing a blue shirt with tassels on the chest. Both have soft expressions as they hold hands. Gold decorations frame the corners of the image, and the text "We've Always Been Here" takes over the right side in flowy, mock-gold text. A small note in the corner also reads, "Work in Progress Image."
