Finally gave up and bought a PS5. Indika was the first thing I wanted to play. I love the premise and the setting so much that it's quite disappointing how often it falls into Naughty Dogisms of moving crates and such. When Ilya asks Indika to hoist him up I groaned. Still a beautiful game though.

These games obviously mean a huge deal to me. It's very exciting to have them collected and available on new platforms, presented with such care and attention to detail.
That game throws a lot of strange stuff at the player, but I'm not interested in it making sense. Just let me engage with the imagery and feel something.
I haven't played that specific game, but in general I prefer things not making sense, because it mirrors the random and poetic nature of being alive. Playdead's Inside is maybe top 3 games of all time for me, but I would never ever click one of those "Inside lore EXPLAINED" Youtube videos.
I related so much to what Chris Plante said about Nier Automata on the latest episode of My Perfect Console: "I don't need to believe that this game makes sense or that all of it comes together, I need to believe that this is the work of somebody processing".
Man, I'm really trying with the new album, and there are nice passages every now and then but I'm grasping for actual songs. Maybe takes more listening.
