oooo, something for me to read... that must be soo interesting Ed... I remember the late Professor Dennis Wheeler who did a lot of research into old ships logs. We got together through his interest in Gibraltar weather and I was writing a book with him about its history.

#Gibraltar - latest radar at 9:20am, 06/03 - shower activity has now quickly pepped up, moving ESE - as we posted yesterday we're now in colder air with the snowline dipping to 900-1,000m, with #snow #nieve ❄️❄️ expected over some nearby Sierras or a risk of hail possible in heavier showers.

#Gibraltar - 6am, 06/03 - as forecast, a cold front pushed through earlier in the night giving just a sprinkle of light rain, after a clearer gap the cloud increasing again on a strengthening Westerly, with a spot of rain just now over Town - the temperature is currently 12C and humidity at 76%.

Nino3.4 region sea surface temperature forecast.

Wow, that's a monster signal for El Niño in today's new ECMWF seasonal forecast.

#Gibraltar - 05/03 - it was a mostly cloudy day with an increasingly breezy West to Southwesterly - photo thanks to MeteoGib follower Robert Mor - starting off fairly damp with some rain/ drizzle which started to peter out through the afternoon with some late sunshine. Max 16.3C.

#Grazalema #Cadiz - 05/03 - as we posted earlier in our outlook for Friday, the snowline dips to around 900-1,000m, with AEMET now issuing a Yellow Advisory for #Snow #Nieve for Sierra Grazalema valid 6am to 6pm, for around 2cm.

Note also a risk for other nearby Sierras - light accum/a dusting.

#Gibraltar #Midtown - 05/03 - cloud has been reluctant to break up much this afternoon, but with any rain more isolated - at 4pm, the temperature has struggled to 14.9C so far on the MeteoGib Weather Station, also 15C at the Airport.
