I think it's generally fine to have some very small CD on dashes like Hades does but it feels brutal in SoD where you sometimes just lose sight of your character with all the spam

I found myself going for lifesteal builds much more often because of it

Rise bullet barrage.... i love you,,, and on endgame heaven sent and wind mantle creating a constant stream of RBDs and burst fire godd it feels good

Frontier it's probably the weapon that made me keep my sanity there due to how good it felt having boosted shelling damage and no sharpness usage

Ahhh gunlance, capcom finally decided to give you proper damage and you're now a beast.

Wilds has so much stuff going for it it's kinda insane, 2 charges for wyvern's fire, shelling takes almost 0 sharpness and good mobility with shelling sidestep makes it feel so damn good

It's like crit draw decos but instead of crit it's for a flat attack buff and stun effect on draw attacks, definitely not as worth it tbh

Absolutely, it's just so damn fun of a style and I use it on GS and GL basically every time

I think Gunlance for me goes like

Wilds > Rise = Frontier > World > GU > 4U > 3U > FU

2nd fav but it gets the short end of the stick most of the time. Frontier, rise and wilds are the exception as they really manage to prop the weapon up to par even though I do like Valor GL too but heat gauge...

I don't like frontier gs mostly because I don't vibe with how a lot of the monsters in that game function but I still prefer it over FU because I just straight up dislike FU

World's the game where hitting charges feel the absolute best imo and only GU comes close, I like the slinger combo to TCS but that's kinda it honestly, Clutch claw really drags weapons down unfortunately

4U/3U Is p classic, crit draw and then play multiplayer to get your free charges!!! (positive)

I like how Wilds gives us a lot to do with the weapon with offsets, perfect blocks and power clashes while still maintaining the classic charged slash playstyle.

Rise was first experience with MH as a whole so I have a soft spot for GS there but strongarm gets a bit old after a while.

Thinking about personal weapon enjoyment between monhuns and I think for GS it's like

GU (Valor) > Wilds > Rise > World > 4U/3U > Frontier > FU

Crit draw is fun but it gets a little tedious but valor makes it feel so damn good it's hard to say it gets boring there lmao.

For 2 I think it's a decently fun time despite my criticisms, just the start that's kind of a slog imo but it picks up eventualy.

On the topic of this game, I've been running GS/GL/Hammer and I think I ended up just using hammer for most of the time as I reached the second half of the game because GS feels underwhelming due to the setup it needs when all hammer needs is win a h2h for a charge + chaser skills

I don't really get the idea on traps on stories 2 if literally all the "subquest boss" fights where they'd actually be useful are immune to it. Like It doesn't need to work every time but at least let it work once because I don't think i really needed to use a trap in a normal fight ever
