Let me know when youβre around and weβll fix something
No but they were in my remit for quite a lot of years including selection, training and various pastoral issues. Coffee on offer if chat would be helpful
Heβs obviously on the old jokes:
Whenβs the first motorbike in the bible?
The sound of Mosesβ triumph was heard throughout the land
Jesus, forgive me for the times I desired a seat at a table you wouldβve flipped. β Steven Price
Yes I wondered about the flags... It was a follow-up question in a feedback form about hospice services but they probably bought in a standard set of questions
Yesterday I was answering a question on ethnicity and was offered the choice between White English and White British. Somehow White English seems odd (even allowing for Welsh ancestry). Do some people object to being British?
Thank you BBCNews. Power is a βburning issueβ and scaffolding is an βup and down industryβ. HIGNIFY by mistake?

#CofEpeeps honoured to be publishing this piece by the Dean of Canterbury viamedia.news/2025/10/22/w...
Congratulations!
Yes I was made deaconess in 1984, but was in Cambridge for 7years before that. I was married at ChristChurch
HT had a deaconess in my day - the only one in the Diocese of Ely, and they couldnβt think they wanted another (they were my sponsoring diocese) It was a different world!
Christ Church was a church plant out of STAG. It is in the same parish as St Andrew-the-less, which used to be known as the Abbey Church in my day
Iβve got one of those- they were still issued in 1952
Me neither- what a waste of money!
Ordinary time??
Welcome!

This is the current version of what we were using: www.blackburn.anglican.org/storage/gene...
Does your diocese have a lone working policy that covers issues like these? We used to run training sessions for lay pastoral visitors on staying safe
We were looking at an empty vicarage in a parish we were considering when wardens and we discovered an urgent need for a stopcock. Eventually found in the garden covered in rotting leaves
I can recommend Fussy refillable deodorant- some supermarkets stock it but cheaper to start with if bought online with an intro from an account holder (who also benefits) www.getfussy.com
There is a grant in England but itβs before ordination, not before you start training. There are a few charities that help ordinands in financial hardship
Have a great time
Surely not a clergy vacancy??
And if you donβt do it quickly enough it tells you the link has expired. Anyone know if thereβs a second chance?
Get well soon
Unless you have v little luggage we found some sort of wheels to transport tent etc to field useful. Ours were a cheap trolley from IKEA
