Bus passes great but addressing the ridiculously high price of trains would also help
So much depends on where you live. I use the bus everyday for work but if i need to leave later I can't get home. And i can't get to towns nearby without going to a central city first and back out which can add ages to a trip down the road. Lots of work still to do to make rural transport workable.
