It was amazing to me that a)I never brought up anything political b)these boomers are so rage-filled that even when their agenda is winning, they can’t see it c) the fear-mongering works. They can’t sort real problems from bait, and they’re voting based on the bait.

(Not all boomers, of course.)

I went to an 8 yr old bday party last week. His grandma and I were the only ones not snow tubing (my broken toe). She began telling me that she’s a conservative, she doesn’t think people should be given food stamps in exchange for their vote, 10 year olds shouldn’t be getting puberty blockers…

It’s 2026 and political pundits out here still trying to will “conventional, normal, presidential” Trump into existence. Good luck with that.

They do. But the reason Cuba can never benefit from any help is because the US imposes its embargo and blockade on anyone that does business with Cuba.

This is in violation of international law and starvation of the entire population is a war crime.
