I think LYR and Antal are quite science-orientated and eventually give bonus payouts for exploration data.

Grom can give a 15% exploration bonus.

I'm not sure about frontline, but you can certainly earn good merits on foot for stealing goods or uploading malware (stealthily or otherwise!)

Not a problem - there are a lot of ways to contribute to PP which don't involve combat at all. In fact, almost every game mechanic can be used to contribute in some way! What sort of things do you enjoy doing?
