Our Kid grew into her adulthood knowing no other JLs but the ones served in the dollar bar next to those lanes.

So if you are curious why many of us here don’t seem excited about Homan’s announcement, understand it for what it is. The problem isn’t fixed; they just want to go somewhere where Minnesotans aren’t.
I think they will find other communities just as resilient.
Yes, I am happy that Minnesota may see a reduction in ICE agents in the coming weeks.
But they aren’t going away. They are just being sent somewhere until the next surge.
Some other community is going to fear for their neighbors and themselves.
I have tamales in the fridge from The Lady. They will be delicious.
I am sort of sad that I have to share with @facilitatorsher.bsky.social tomorrow.

They have them playing national competitions as well. It is such a communication-led sport that the commentators need them to work out what’s happening in between stones.

Gene and the other members of the Lost Dogs fronted the bands that kept me around a while longer than I might have. River on Fire remains one of my all time favorites. And that one you sang is dear as well.

There are a lot of things I wish people from other states knew, and here's one: most of the churches here are VERY MUCH part of the resistance to the occupation.

I loved that book. When you took Schickele’s PDQ shtick and put it on paper, it seemed studied and reasoned and then you looked at it again and cracked up.
Bitches have no idea that Minnesotans are dressed in our most expensive clothing today. You know, WOOL.
It was pretty cold. In typical MN fashion, a lot of people were handing out chemical hand and foot warmers.
But we were all dressed for it. You don’t go to something like this and not have at least 3-4 layers on.
Being in it was something. It took us a little while to get started, but we could we see more people coming in as we waited for the parade to begin.
Look. It wasn’t that cold out.

I can see that; I LIKE the world that they’ve created for everyone to live in - I just like the characters they’ve created for it more.
This was bewildering to me. I understand that Jesse had a completed story arc and that starting Jesse’s powers back to zero would seem ham-fisted (seeing as it had a strong castlevania element to discovery), BUT.
A full story with Jesse at max power? And a reason to investigate? I’d buy that.
I absolutely cannot wait. Control was the last game I finished front to back where I gladly stayed up FAR TOO LATE and regretted none of it.

This is absolutely insane. In the talk, I discussed how angular momentum is generally arrested in the last couple of feet as forward momentum fades.
Not in this case.
