Pardon Industry Offers Rich Offenders a Path to Trump

NEW: Pardon seekers are routinely being asked to pay $1m+ to lobbyists & lawyers claiming access to Trump, often with bonuses if clemency is granted.

I investigated the Trump Pardon Industrial Complex, & detailed the backstory behind 1 interesting pardon.

One thing that’s always been wild to me is there inability to recognize who the bad guy is. Jessup, Patrick Bateman, Jordan Belfort. These guys consistently idolize the obvious villain.

The specials and off-year elections prove your point to anyone watching with eyes that work, figuratively speaking. We're far from out of the woods but the admin is weaker than it has ever been.

Think of it this way. Trump came into office with a β€œno scalps rule”
Meaning that he wasn’t gonna fire anybody just because the libs and the media wanted them fired. That rule is now being pushed away.

Interestingly, Sen. Dick Anderson, a Lincoln City Republican who is mulling a run to lead the state's Bureau of Labor and Industries, voted yes on a bill to prohibit employers from firing their employees for lawfully updating their federal work authorization status. Broke w/ other GOP senators.

Not just in media, overall. The amount of interest / attention to climate change has plummeted. Maybe people are distracted by more immediate things, but last year was Oregon's third hottest year in records dating back to 1895. Almost every year since 2020 has been in the top 10.

Cocoa whiplash: How a record price spike turned into a demand slump Cocoa prices have fallen nearly 70% since 2024 record highs, but demand weakness, reformulation and farmer pressure continue to reshape the global chocolate market.

Cocoa prices have fallen from their stunning peak a year ago, but the industry has not returned to its pre-spike normal. And conditions that caused the earlier increase have not gone away.
